Breaking Bad Season 5
Overview
Breaking Bad Season 5 is the fifth and final season of the landmark crime drama, split into two parts. The first part follows Walt (Bryan Cranston) as the new drug lord, building a meth empire with Jesse (Aaron Paul) and a new crew of criminals. He cooks the purest meth ever seen, earning millions of dollars, but his hubris grows unchecked. He orders the murder of Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) and the prison murders of Gus's former associates. The second part follows his downfall. Hank Schrader (Dean Norris), Walt's brother-in-law and a DEA agent, discovers that Walt is Heisenberg. The final episodes are a tragic, inevitable conclusion. Hank is killed by a neo-Nazi gang that Walt hired. Jesse is enslaved by the gang, forced to cook for them. Walt goes into hiding in New Hampshire. He returns to rescue Jesse and to get revenge on the neo-Nazis. He dies in the meth lab, finally admitting to Skyler that he did it for himself — because he liked it. Breaking Bad Season 5 is a brilliant, heartbreaking conclusion to one of the greatest television series of all time. The series finale, "Felina," is widely considered one of the greatest series finales ever.
