Air Force One
Overview
Air Force One is a 1997 action thriller film directed by Wolfgang Petersen, starring Harrison Ford as President James Marshall, a former Vietnam War hero. A group of Russian terrorists, led by Ivan Korshunov (Gary Oldman), hijack Air Force One, the President's plane. The President is a passenger on the plane, and he refuses to be evacuated. He uses his skills to fight the terrorists and save his family and his staff. The film is a tense, suspenseful thriller, set almost entirely on the plane. Harrison Ford gives a powerful performance as a President who is also a action hero. Air Force One was a critical and commercial success, earning over $315 million worldwide.
