Overview
Breaking Bad Season 2 follows Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) as they expand their meth operation after killing Tuco Salamanca. Walt and Jesse go on the run, hiding out in a remote house in the desert while they figure out their next move. They find a new distributor through Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), a "criminal lawyer" who connects them with Gus Fring's organization. The season is structured around a mystery: a pink teddy bear floating in a swimming pool, hinting at a coming disaster. Walt's wife Skyler (Anna Gunn) grows increasingly suspicious of his behavior and begins investigating his secrets. She discovers that he has been lying about his whereabouts and eventually forces him to move out. Jesse struggles with the guilt of killing a man and begins using drugs again, spiraling into a deep depression. The season also introduces Jane Margolis (Krysten Ritter), Jesse's landlord and girlfriend, who is a recovering heroin addict. The season ends with a devastating plane crash over Albuquerque, caused by Jane's grief-stricken father, a air traffic controller, who is distracted after Jane overdoses on Walt's product. Breaking Bad Season 2 is a masterclass in tension, showing Walt's growing pride and the collateral damage of his choices.
