Yellowstone Season 1
Overview
Yellowstone Season 1 is the first season of the neo-Western drama series created by Taylor Sheridan. The series follows the Dutton family, who own the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States, located in Montana on the border of Yellowstone National Park. The series stars Kevin Costner as John Dutton, the family patriarch, a sixth-generation rancher who is willing to do anything to protect his land and his family's legacy. John is a complex character: a loving father, a ruthless businessman, a killer when necessary, and a man who is slowly losing control of everything he has built. The first season follows John and his children: Jamie (Wes Bentley), the adopted son, a lawyer and politician who is desperate for his father's approval but is repeatedly rejected; Beth (Kelly Reilly), the only daughter, a brilliant, vicious, and deeply damaged woman who is fiercely loyal to her father; and Kayce (Luke Grimes), the youngest son, a former Navy SEAL who wants to live a simple life with his Native American wife Monica (Kelsey Asbille). The family faces threats from developers, the neighboring Broken Rock Indian Reservation, and a hedge fund.
