Game of Thrones Season 6
Overview
Game of Thrones Season 6 continues the story of the characters. The season is famous for the "Battle of the Bastards," one of the most epic battle sequences in television history. Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is resurrected by Melisandre (Carice van Houten). He and Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) retake Winterfell from the Boltons in a brutal, bloody battle. Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) is killed by his own hounds. The season also follows Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) as she finally leaves Meereen and sails for Westeros. She is aided by a fleet of ships from the Greyjoys and the Martells. Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) blows up the Great Sept of Baelor with wildfire, killing her enemies, including Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer) and the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce). Her son Tommen (Dean-Charles Chapman) commits suicide, and Cersei becomes the Queen. The sixth season ends with Daenerys crossing the Narrow Sea, and with Cersei on the Iron Throne.
