Overview

Foundation Season 2 continues the story of the Foundation and the Empire. The season jumps forward over a hundred years. The Foundation is now a religious power, and it is in conflict with the Empire. The second season follows Gaal Dornick, who has traveled centuries forward through time to reach this moment. The Mule — psychohistory's great unpredicted variable, a man with the power to alter the emotional states of entire populations — emerges as a threat that Seldon's Plan never accounted for and that the Foundation may be incapable of defeating. The season ends with a shocking cliffhanger, setting up the third season.
