Overview

The Newsroom Season 1 is the first season of HBO's political drama, created by Aaron Sorkin. The first season is set in the world of cable news, following the staff of a fictional news network, ACN. The first season follows Will McAvoy (Jeff Daniels), a brilliant but arrogant news anchor, and his new executive producer, MacKenzie McHale (Emily Mortimer).
