Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F is a 2024 action comedy film directed by Mark Molloy, the fourth installment in the Beverly Hills Cop franchise. The film stars Eddie Murphy as Axel Foley, the wise-cracking, rule-breaking Detroit detective who always gets into trouble. The film is set 30 years after the events of Beverly Hills Cop III. Axel is still a detective in Detroit, and he is still getting into trouble. He returns to Beverly Hills to investigate his daughter's near-death experience. The film is a nostalgic return to the franchise, with many of the original cast members returning, including Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, and Paul Reiser. The film also stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a younger detective and Taylour Paige as Axel's daughter. The film was a commercial success, becoming one of Netflix's most-watched original films.
